Steve
is Formational Ventures' General Manager.
His responsibilities include website operations and maintenance,
scheduling and operating global web and tele-conferences with Formational
member investors and management teams and entrepreneurs and the continuous
automation of back-office systems, including accounting, tax preparations,
member initiations and communications. Steve's
area of expertise includes project management, remote data gathering and
integration technologies and process automation.
He currently resides in London, England and frequently travels to Menlo
Park, California. |
Dave DePuy

Dave
is an experienced marketing and sales executive specializing in advanced data
communications and telecommunications markets. Dave began his career as a
design engineer at Hewlett-Packard working on an intelligent network adapter.
He later held senior sales and marketing positions when he assisted with the
growth of several new and successful start-up companies including 3Com,
Crescendo, and LAN Media. Dave’s
expertise includes market development, sales channel development and management
and product analysis. He now resides in Los Altos Hills, California. |
Mark Housley

Mark
Housley has demonstrated outstanding leadership performance in both global and
startup technology companies. He
most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Media 100
immediately following its merger with Digital Origin Inc., a public company,
where he was Chairman and CEO. Digital
Origin developed and marketed tools for the streaming media industry.
Earlier, Mark founded and was V.P. Marketing of Spectrum Wireless,
Inc., Vice President and General Manager of SuperMac Technology’s Color
Publishing Division and Vice President for Siemens AG, a multinational
manufacturer of electronic equipment. Earlier, Mark rapidly advanced through various
engineering, marketing and sales management positions at IBM, ROLM and ASK
Computers. He remains a Director
of Media 100 and also serves as a director of Applied Magic, Inc, a developer
of consumer video appliances. Mark
graduated with honors in mathematics from Pomona College.
He currently resides in Palo Alto, California. |
Michael Khuen

Michael
is the Founder and former CEO of Miro Computer Products, an international
graphics display company with annual revenues of $240 million and worldwide
operations.
Mr. Kuehn brings to Formational Ventures a strong background in video
technology having introduced more than 60 software and hardware products to
the market in the ‘90s while leading Miro to become the worldwide leader in
digital video editing.
After selling the company in 1997, Michael formed a Silicon Valley
consulting firm that helped companies execute turn-around and start-up
projects, including the restructuring and sale of the Radius’ hardware
business, the rebuilding of ColorMatch for KDS, and the launch of TeVeo - an
Internet video company.
He has an M.S. from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Dipl.-Ing. In
Electrical Engineering from Technische Universitaet Braunschweig, Germany |
Tom Rota

Tom
began his career in finance at the headquarters of two Fortune 100 companies,
first at The Ford Motor Company and later at Kimberly Clark.
He moved westward to Silicon Valley and began his finance career in
venture-backed companies 24 years ago. Over this time Tom has helped
lead four companies through rapid growth and to initial public offerings.
He has helped shape operating plans and budgets and capital finance
strategies for numerous companies and has raised over $300M in capital
financing.
Tom has also shaped corporate information strategies as CIO for
growing, global enterprises.
His area of expertise is in corporate finance and capitalization
strategies for start-up and emerging growth companies.
He resides in Palo Alto, California. |
